Summit in Washington, DC, May 2-4, 2024, set to ‘ignite conservative, Black vote.’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – America’s Black vote could decide the outcome of the most important Presidential election in decades, according to the leaders of an influential Black conservative movement.

Dr. Eric Wallace and his wife Jennifer, co-founders of faith-based nonprofit Freedom’s Journal Institute (FJI), say the upcoming Black Conservative Summit (BCS) in Washington, DC, will address  a “tidal wave of cultural Marxism” they assert is undermining family values and religious freedoms.

The May 2-4 gathering will unite conservatives under the theme “Black America at a Crossroads: Cultural Marxism vs. A Biblical Worldview.” 2024 BCS Speaker List:https://freedomsjournalinstitute.org/bcs-2024-speakers

“Cultural Marxism is a revolutionary leftist idea, which proposes that Christian culture, norms, and beliefs are the source of oppression against freedom in the modern world,” said Eric Wallace, who holds a Ph.D. in biblical studies.

According to the Pew Research Center, in 2020 President Joe Biden received more than 90% of Black votes. However, according to a recent NBC News poll, Biden’s support among the 34 million-plus eligible Black voters has dropped nearly 20 points this year.

Blacks Portrayed As ‘Poor, Ignorant, Needing White Help’

“Our focus is to open the eyes of those in the Black community and others who are otherwise blind to the misleading and repressive social justice narratives of the progressive Left,” Wallace said.

“While the majority of Blacks live above the poverty level – about 75% – we are constantly portrayed by the media, social justice warriors, progressives, and others as poor, ignorant, underprivileged people who need white people to help us,” he said.

The summit is expected to attract a multiethnic, cross-generational group, focusing on the natural family, biblical faith, and conservative political and cultural values, articulated in FJI’s  signature R.I.S.E. Principles of “responsible government, individual liberty and fidelity, strong family values, and economic empowerment.”

Building on the momentum of the BCS’23 (featuring the theme of “How to Fix Black America”) that included speakers Larry Elder, Dr. Voddie Baucham, Bob Woodson, Dr. Shelby Steele, and Lt. Col. Allen West, this year’s lineup includes speakers from DC-based The Heritage Foundation, who will host the kickoff reception; The Douglass Leadership Institute; and Blexit, a conservative Black organization, with other organizations and speakers being confirmed.

"We must join together to fight for our families, our children, and our faith against the lies of our common enemy,” said Pierre Wilson, Blexit’s National Director. “Together, with the Word of God as our shield, we will be an unbreakable force of good for Black families.”
